This website a blog is dedicated to anybody who has had a stroke and to their friends and loved ones on December 28, 2010 I had a massive stroke at the tender age of 49 my whole life was completely changed in a matter of 2 min. last 18 months had been a difficult road back to recovery and that's what I'd like to talk to talk about in this blog about what it's like to come back after such a stroke and how to cope with the enormous life changes that now face you you literally have to begin a whole life and find it you just have to are in yourself reinvent yourself with your now new life and limitations this is a very frustrating process and takes a tremendous amount of patience and introspective look at what is ahead of you and realize that nothing is totally impossible now is just different I also want to speak to your families and your caretakers on on techniques and things to help your loved one I have my own frustrations and also to share the love and dedication to those who have believed in me and a special thank you to Lisa a.k.a. Master Yoda who believed in me that I can walk again as of today July 1 I can now walk without braces or any other law and the other assisted device this is a total miracle they told me I would be wheeled wheelchair-bound life I refuse to accept that and pushed on and worked very hard to be able to bring my body back to its former self with stroke recovery it comes one step at a time and it's very slow but your body can come back you just have to get keep a positive outlook and keep pressing forward day by day looking at the things that you still have your life or and focusing them focusing on them instead of on focusing on what you've lost. Still much to live for even though you may have fallen into a deep depression and wanting to die by war to you today is fight fight fight live live live like still good just different I welcome questions and and and words of wisdom so please feel free to e-mail me at the G-8 ETA1@COC.NET please give me 24 hours to respond to your e-mails and questions in my stroke I lost a lot of the use of my voice that thank God for technology I have the Dragon software where I can speak into a microphone and it will type my words for me today is a new day fresh with new hopes and new things to accomplish later on I will share with you the damage that was taken to my body from my stroke and how I tried to overcome each and every one of those things and the things that I still struggle with it it's been 18 months and I'm still recovering a little bit each more coming back they do say it take up two years to recover everything back and I am living proof of that much best regards Pam him
